The implementation phase of the "GoParking" application has begun in the area of the city of Prijedor. This application allows the user to find the nearest parking location in the desired location, in his city, pay for parking for his car in just a few clicks on his mobile device, and also to extend the duration of the parking ticket in a few simple steps.

"The City Administration of Prijedor is clearly committed to achieving the goal and raising awareness of the importance of digital transformation of local self-government and modernization when providing services to citizens with the maximum use of digital technologies," said Chief of Cabinet and Deputy Mayor Danijela Doboš from the City Administration of the City of Prijedor.

"The application and the smart parking system itself will be a significant solution and progress in the development and monitoring of the operation of the parking system in the city of Prijedor, which we are confident will influence the improvement of the system and be an example of successful practice for the introduction of the system in other cities as well as the introduction of similar solutions for all other systems in the city. Through the application, the City Administration has insight into the number of parking tickets issued, their payment, as well as all other duties and tasks of the parking service at any moment." said Dragoslav Kabić, head of the Department for Traffic, Communal Affairs and Environmental Protection and Property and Housing Affairs.

The implementation of the "GoParking" application is carried out as part of the project "Smart cities - towards the digital transformation of cities in BiH", with the financial support of the develoPPP program from Germany, which is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the companies Lanaco and DVC Solutions, and Bit Alijansa, the association of IT companies in BiH.

"The project aims to support progressive local governments in the initial realization of their vision of digital transformation into a smart city. The focus is on improving the readiness and capacity of local government units for the processes of modernization of municipal services using the internationally accepted "smart city" concept and solutions," said Bojan Vojvodić, project manager at GIZ.

GoParking System is an example of how modern technical and communication solutions (sensors, cameras, concentrators and software) are used for more efficient management of parking systems. Within the software concept, the GoParking system consists of three interconnected applications: GoParking Business, GoParking Control and GoParking, as well as two services: SMS service and card payment service.

By implementing the idea of buying a parking ticket electronically, the user enters his registration number to use the Go Parking application. The program allows the user to pay a parking ticket for several cars, i.e. registration numbers that can be marked with different colors. The user is then given the option to pay for the parking ticket directly from the application via SMS by selecting the city, registration number the sign for which he wants you to pay the parking ticket, as well as the selection of the parking zone and the time period of using a certain parking lot.

The software gives users a choice of several languages, and users can also see a summary of all their activities within the Go Parking mobile app by viewing their list of purchased tickets.

"The GoParking system is part of the GoPlatform and as an IoT solution aims to make the everyday life of citizens in traffic simpler and more functional. It is a great pleasure that our company is part of a project that systematically approaches the digital transformation of cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are focused on achieving the project goal, which is to create the prerequisites for achieving benefits for cities that bring IoT solutions, and most importantly, for their citizens and visitors. We believe that our IoT solution for managing parking spaces "GoParking" accelerates the work of official persons who control the validity of parking tickets and makes their daily work easier." - said Srđan Zagorac, project manager, GoParking system.

"Through the project "Smart cities - towards the digital transformation of the cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina", we strive to create a systemic approach in digital transformation through documents that will represent direct indicators for the implementation of digital transformation in the coming years for public local governments. We are currently working on the creation of a digital transformation roadmap as well as an analysis of the current situation for Prijedor, Tešanj, Zenica, Zvornik and Pale." said Kristina Erak, operational manager of Bit Alliance and project coordinator.

The application adapted to Prijedor is donated by the company Lanaco d.o.o. through the project "Smart cities towards the digital transformation of cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which is realized through a development partnership with the companies Lanaco d.o.o., DVC Solutions d.o.o. within the develoPPP framework. de program implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation/Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ), in cooperation with the Bit Alliance association.
