We are Bit Alliance.

We are an association of the largest IT companies united under the umbrella of Bit Alliance, the largest umbrella organization of the BiH IT industry. Since 2014, we have been guided by one goal - to develop numerous opportunities in the IT industry market, while facing numerous obstacles that slow down its growth.

In order to develop a positive business environment for the further growth of the BiH IT industry, Bit Alliance is continuously working to solve the two biggest problems that the IT industry faces every day - the lack of qualified personnel and poorly developed infrastructure in the IT industry, accompanied by a lack of development incentives.

Goals

The Bit Alliance initiative for the strategic strengthening of the IT industry in BiH has declared one of our main goals: to begin making institutional strategic decisions for key shortcomings, challenges and problems in the development of the industry, summarized in several groups:

lack of qualified IT staff and a continuing negative trend,

underdeveloped IT infrastructure and lack of incentives for development,

unfavorable legislative environment for business and growth of the IT industry.

Strategic plan for the development of the IT industry in B&H

The IT Manifesto identifies key problems and ways to solve them through proposals for the implementation of strategic goals for the further development of the IT industry, which, we believe, will directly impact our ultimate goal - for BiH to become one of the leading IT economies in the region.

Through our many years of work and accompanying experiences, we have come to three key values that would improve and enable progress and growth in all branches of the economy, especially those in the digital ecosystem:

Development of digital skills during primary and secondary education,
Acquiring applicable digital knowledge during higher education,
Training of teachers of digital skills and knowledge throughout the education system.

We, key players in the IT industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina, represent a better and faster way to provide quality employment by improving the quality of education, which brings great and long-term value to our society.

IT Manifesto

The IT Manifesto, which is also a model for the development strategy of the IT industry in BiH, defines three basic elements, or pillars, that are considered the most important in the further development of this industry, and are synchronized with the concept that Bit Alliance is guided by - the Triple Helix model (university-industry-government relationship):

The focus on cooperation with the academic community is defined by the education pillar with accompanying strategic goals and proposals for their implementation, the focus on cooperation with the authorities will be defined by the legislation pillar with accompanying strategic goals and proposals for their implementation, while the focus on cooperation among members is defined by the economic prosperity pillar, also with accompanying strategic goals and proposals for their implementation. We believe that by strengthening these three building blocks together, we create a formula for the successful development of the IT ecosystem in BiH.

Collaboration with the academic community

Our primary goal is to cooperate with educational institutions to revise the curriculum of primary and secondary schools and colleges according to the needs of the IT industry.

The Bit Alliance community is committed to ensuring quality education for young people through numerous programs and projects, such as Bit Lab, in cooperation with universities, schools, associations and other organizations in the country and abroad that deal with information technologies. In this regard, our primary goal is to cooperate with educational institutions in revising the curriculum of primary and secondary schools and colleges according to the needs of the IT industry.

Cooperation with authorities

We at Bit Alliance believe that cooperation with the authorities is one of the key factors in creating a favorable and stable business environment in BiH.

Within the framework of BiH legislation, specific legal regulations governing the IT industry are not defined, therefore, cooperation with the authorities in advocating for the adoption of the Strategy and Policy for the Development of the IT Industry at the state level is necessary. Such documents would include precise measures and visible engagement of the competent institutions, which would improve the education system, facilitate business operations for companies and encourage the employment of young people in this sector. We believe that achieving cooperation with the authorities is one of the key factors in creating a favorable and stable business environment.

A common idea and mutual support make the BIT Alliance a perfect mechanism in which each member company represents an equally important link.

Acting separately, IT companies could not have a unified approach towards the competent institutions, nor provide the prerequisites for the further growth and development of the IT industry. Our joint action will contribute to resolving numerous obstacles that slow down the growth of the IT industry. Together, we employ over 2800 young experts who develop software every day and distribute it to the world's largest companies.
