
Industrial Internhsip
The Industrial Internship project enabled students of the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science to gain their first experience in the IT industry.
The Industrial Internship Project was implemented through a collaboration between Bit Alliance, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (ETF), and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (PMF) at the University of Sarajevo, with the goal of providing students of two-year IT study programs with practical industry experience. The program was designed to give students insight into real working environments and the application of knowledge acquired during their studies.
Project Goals
Provide students with hands-on experience in IT companies.
Connect universities with industry through a structured internship model.
Facilitate the transition from education to the labor market.
Increase the employability of young professionals in the IT sector.
Activities
Students from the two-year IT programs at ETF and PMF had the opportunity to complete internships in Bit Alliance member companies, under the mentorship of experienced professionals. During their internships, they worked on real industry projects and became familiar with the technologies and workflows used in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s IT sector.
Long-Term Impact
The project contributed to strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions and the IT industry and established the foundation for a sustainable internship model that enables students to enter the labor market more quickly and effectively.
