EduITkarijera.ba

The edu.itkarijera.ba platform modernizes IT education through digital materials and continuous training for teachers across BiH.

The edu.itkarijera.ba project was launched by Bit Alliance with the aim of modernizing IT education in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the development of digital teaching materials and the organization of online training sessions for IT subject teachers. The platform brings together modern resources that help educators improve the quality of teaching, keep up with rapid technological changes, and equip students with the skills needed to work in a digital environment.

Phase 1 (2022)

The first phase of the project was implemented with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and focused on developing initial educational materials and online resources for secondary schools with IT programs. This phase laid the foundation for creating a unified digital platform that enables the sharing of teaching materials, exchange of experiences, and continuous professional development of IT teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Phase 2 (2024–2025)

The second phase is being implemented under the “Better Governance for Faster Economic Growth (EGG2)” program, carried out by UNDP with the support of the Government of Norway and in cooperation with the Pedagogical Institute of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.

In this phase, new and updated materials have been developed for five IT areas: informatics, operating systems, computer networks, databases, and information security. Additionally, supplementary educational content has been created for three specialized fields: programming, mobile application development, and web design.

The project includes the implementation of 30 online training sessions for teachers from the Zenica-Doboj Canton, with the possibility for other schools in Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate as well. All materials are available via the edu.itkarijera.ba platform.

Long-Term Impact

The edu.itkarijera.ba project has become a key resource for improving the quality of IT education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through digital tools and interactive training, the platform enables teachers to stay up to date with technological advancements and to deliver knowledge aligned with the modern labor market’s needs. In the long run, this project contributes to building a competent, digitally literate teaching community capable of shaping the next generation of IT professionals in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
